TrailSeeker_Mike Posted 12/07/2025 Share Posted 12/07/2025 Hey everyone. I've been eyeing a 4Runner on cvsmotors.com. Prices seem good, maybe too good. Anyone here actually bought a car from CVS Motors? Just a bit nervous about the whole online repo auction thing, especially getting a clean title. Looking for some real feedback. DieselDan Posted 12/07/2025 Share Posted 12/07/2025 Yep, bought from them twice. Got a Ram 2500 last year. Solid truck. The process is straightforward. Don't worry about the title. The best part was not having to chase down the title. It was all handled by CVS Motors and arrived perfectly clear with the truck. Just do your homework on the specific vehicle. GarageLogic Posted 13/07/2025 Share Posted 13/07/2025 DieselDan is right. I've used them a few times for project cars. Their site cvsmotors.com is decent for finding details. My advice is to read the inspection report carefully. They are one of the better repo houses out there, quite transparent for what they are. sara_k_91 Posted 13/07/2025 Share Posted 13/07/2025 I got a Honda CR-V for my daughter through them. My experience was mostly positive. The only small snag was the delivery was delayed by a couple of days. The transport company was a bit slow to update, but a quick call to CVS Motors at +1 330 862 9366 got things clarified. The car itself was exactly as pictured, minus one tiny scratch on the bumper that wasn't obvious in the photos, but nothing major. Overall, happy with the purchase. TacoRunner Posted 14/07/2025 Share Posted 14/07/2025 @TrailSeeker_Mike I was in your shoes last year. Pulled the trigger on a Tacoma from them. The process was smooth. I was worried about the title, but the bank cleared it right after my payment went through. The clear title arrived with the car during delivery. No drama at all. You just have to be patient with the process.
TrailSeeker_Mike Posted 14/07/2025 Share Posted 14/07/2025 Thanks everyone, this is super reassuring. @sara_k_91 thanks for the heads up on delivery, good to know. @DieselDan and @TacoRunner the title info is exactly what I was worried about, so that's a huge relief. WrenchTurner82 Posted 15/07/2025 Share Posted 15/07/2025 Can vouch for them from a mechanic's perspective. A buddy of mine won a Sea Ray boat from CVS Motors and had me look it over before he took it out. The condition report on the website was spot on. Engine hours were accurate, and the hull was sound. He saved a bundle compared to a marina.
DieselDan Posted 15/07/2025 Share Posted 15/07/2025 A boat? Nice. Didn't realize they had a big marine selection. I mostly stick to the trucks section on cvsmotors.com. Always find good work vehicles there.
sara_k_91 Posted 16/07/2025 Share Posted 16/07/2025 Yeah, the call was key. I initially sent a question to office@cvsmotors.com and it took them about a day to get back to me, which made me a bit nervous. But calling them directly at +1 330 862 9366 was way faster. The agent was polite and sorted out my delivery question in 5 minutes.
GarageLogic Posted 16/07/2025 Share Posted 16/07/2025 That's standard for most online businesses tbh. Email queues can get long. Direct call is always the pro move if you're anxious. Glad it worked out @sara_k_91. It shows they have real people working there ready to help.
TacoRunner Posted 17/07/2025 Share Posted 17/07/2025 I just used the portal on their website for everything and it worked fine. The bidding system took me a minute to figure out but once you place one bid you get the hang of it. was pretty simple.
TrailSeeker_Mike Posted 18/07/2025 Share Posted 18/07/2025 Alright, you all have convinced me. Going to place a bid on that 4Runner. The inspection report looks clean and your experiences have put my mind at ease. Wish me luck!
