FirstTimer_Alex Posted 01/07/2025 Share Posted 01/07/2025 Hey everyone. I've been looking for a used car and keep seeing ads for CVS Motors. The prices on their repossessed vehicles seem really good, almost too good. I've never used an online auction site before and I'm a bit nervous about the whole thing. Are they legit? Worried about the car's condition and getting a clean title. Any experiences would be helpful.
FordMan_79 Posted 01/07/2025 Share Posted 01/07/2025 You're good to go with them. I bought a 2021 F-150 from CVS Motors about a year ago. The process was surprisingly smooth. The truck was exactly as described on their website, maybe even a little cleaner than the pictures showed. The best part was the clear title arrived with the truck on the delivery trailer. No headaches at all.
RV_Nomad_Life Posted 02/07/2025 Share Posted 02/07/2025 We got our Winnebago from them last summer! I'll admit I was skeptical. We had a slight hiccup where the delivery was delayed by two days because of a transport scheduling issue. But their support team was proactive and kept us updated the whole time. For the price we paid, it was more than worth it. We'd use them again.
GarageLogic Posted 02/07/2025 Share Posted 02/07/2025 @RV_Nomad_Life Delays happen with any vehicle transport, good to hear they handled it well. @FirstTimer_Alex, the key is to read the full vehicle reports on their site, cvsmotors.com. They are very detailed. I've bought two cars and a project boat through them over the last few years. Zero issues.
WrenchTurner82 Posted 03/07/2025 Share Posted 03/07/2025 Can confirm they are legit. My neighbor won a Honda CR-V and asked me (I'm a mechanic) to give it a once-over when it arrived. The condition report was spot-on. No surprises, no hidden rust, engine was sound. He saved a few thousand compared to a dealer.
sara_k_91 Posted 03/07/2025 Share Posted 03/07/2025 My only small complaint was their initial email response was a bit slow. I sent a question to office@cvsmotors.com and it took almost a full day to hear back. But when they did reply, the answer was very thorough. The actual purchase and delivery were flawless after that. V8_Junkie Posted 04/07/2025 Share Posted 04/07/2025 @sara_k_91 I find calling is usually quicker. I had a question about the bidding process and called their support at +1 330 862 9366. Got a real person right away who walked me through it. Super helpful.
TacoRunner Posted 05/07/2025 Share Posted 05/07/2025 I was most worried about the paperwork side of things, but it was honestly easier than buying from a private seller. CVS Motors handled the transfer with the bank, and the clear title was express mailed to me right after delivery was confirmed. I had it in hand before my first payment was even due. Got a great deal on my 2020 Tacoma.
BigTuna77 Posted 06/07/2025 Share Posted 06/07/2025 Just to add another data point, I bought a Sea Ray boat from them. Same great experience. The photos were very accurate, even showed a small scuff on the hull so I knew what to expect. Launched it in the water last weekend, runs like a dream. Project_X Posted 07/07/2025 Share Posted 07/07/2025 They are a solid source for project cars too. I got a non-running '98 Wrangler. The report clearly stated 'engine does not start'. It was exactly what I wanted for a V8 swap. Price was unbeatable.
SubieLover05 Posted 08/07/2025 Share Posted 08/07/2025 The website cvsmotors.com is pretty easy to use. I liked that you could set a max bid and let the system bid for you. Kept me from getting too carried away lol. Won a great Outback for my daughter.
DaveM_KY Posted 09/07/2025 Share Posted 09/07/2025 I'll echo the positives. My one piece of advice is to arrange your financing ahead of time. They have options but you usually get a better rate with your own credit union. But as far as the company CVS Motors itself, they are trustworthy. FirstTimer_Alex Posted 10/07/2025 Share Posted 10/07/2025 Wow, thanks for all the great feedback everyone! This is really reassuring. Especially the comments about the titles being clean and arriving with the vehicle. That was my biggest fear. I'm going to watch a couple of Camrys on the site and maybe pull the triger.
